About Us

I have been working with children  for a number of years in a range of different settings and decided to set up my own childminding service so I could be around my children but also to pursue the career I have trained and worked in.

I am qualified to Level 3 in the CACHE Diploma in childcare and education which I obtained in 2008 at Dudley College.

I’m helped by my husband Dale who is my registered assistant and works full time in Just Little Ones with me. Dale has a Paediatric First Aid certificate and works in a CIPD environment to further his qualifications.

Just Little Ones has full public liability insurance cover and I have a full clean UK driving licence as well as car insurance cover to carry children in my care. In addition I have attended many training courses an regularly keep up to date with changing polices and procedures.

I have a current paediatric first aid certificate, food safety in catering and regularly update my child protection training with the local authority.

I love arts and crafts and outdoor play,  We are members of National Trust where I would be happy to take the children to enjoy, I always try to base my planning around the children’s interests and strive to get the children to make something to take home each week.

We can offer a range of childminding services for children aged 0-12, including pre and after school care, after school club and school holiday cover based in our semi-detached three bedroom home, where I live with my husband Dale and our two girls Lilly and Eliza.

We have recently improved our garden to create a child enriched environment that includes a music and water play area and other activities suitable to the child’s interest.

Our new garden cabin is out latest addition to our setting to improve the overall care we can provide.

Recently we have just introduced the children to Bertie our childminding bear🐻 Each child will be given the chance to take Bertie home for a weekend.

Bertie is a very cuddly and friendly bear. He loves going on adventures, visiting new places and meeting new people but gets very tired after a busy day at Just Little Ones and playing with my friends. At bedtime Bertie likes to have a story and a big hug before he goes to sleep.

Children can draw or write about his adventures with some photos too in his diary so we can show your friends. Please remember to bring Bertie back to Jemma and Dales house so that someone else can take him home next week!

Many thanks for your interest in Just Little Ones
